Writing Proposal: What is the Effect of Racism in Soccer?



Racism has affected soccer in many ways, many extremely talented black players have been denied into the field. Many people and organizations are trying to stop racism in soccer, FIFA which stands for the F茅d茅ration Internationale de Football Association (International Federation of Association Football) have done some huge campaigns to try stopping racism in soccer, and one of them for example is the Say NO to Racism campaign. I am hoping to learn what role racism plays in soccer? How did the black players get into the field? And most importantly what are its consequences?

Racism has being known for many years. It is known to have started when the Europeans brought Africans for slavery. It is the discrimination of people who are different in color or aspects. People such as: Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, George Washington tired to write it in the constitution of United States, Abraham Lincoln started the Civil war to free slaves, Chuck Berry (Singer), Ray Charles (Singer), Marvin Gaye (Singer), Jimmy Hendrix (Guitarist), rappers and the current president of the United States Barack Obama which is the first black president in the history of United States of America, Etc. Have helped fight racism鈥?In a different way. Many people have been discriminated on soccer like: Pele (Brazil), Terry Henry (France) and Samuel Eto鈥檕 (Cameroon), Ect.

I think I have the qualifications because I am a really big fan of soccer, it鈥檚 my favorite sport and I really want to learn more about it.

My research methods are going to be to research on the internet. Also try to look for some books on the library that my help me. Watching the sport news might help me too, and I am also willing to ask the physical education teacher or the soccer coach to see if he can give some information.Hey!..
