Imagine (forget the likelihood of it happening, just, imagine) that six Northern English teams were inserted into the SPL under a new structure, of 18 teams instead of 12, the 6 English sides making up the extra 6 obviously.
These four teams are;
- Newcastle United Football Club
- Sunderland Association Football Club
- Middlesbrough Football Club
- Carlisle United Football Club
- Hartlepool United Football Club
- Darlington Football Club
Imagining that this was to happen, what would be their average finishing positions over the next 3 seasons (starting with 2010/11)?
Thank you in advance.
