Should the NZ soccer team drop the whole 'All Whites' schtick?

I'm watching them play Paraguay in their away strip of all Black like all our other teams representing our nation and it looks even snazzier than it does on the All Blacks.

As far as I'm aware the NZFA originally has an all black playing strip until they decided to change it sometime about 1980 in protest of the dominance of Rugby in NZ and the attitudes of some codeheads towards their sport.

Of course things including NZ have changed since and I think I speak for most Rugby fans in having a lot of interest and a deep respect for the sport of Association football. To me this whole "We're playing in white because we don't want to be black" all sounds like a big inferiority complex.

I reckon it's time for the NZFA (or whatever they're called these days) to ditch the All White and get with the program. Who agrees?Should the NZ soccer team drop the whole 'All Whites' schtick?
Yes.

How about wearing national colours instead of changing all the time?

Once the cricket team used to deck themselves out in the terrible beige concoction of drab colours (suited how the team played at the time, though). The country's colours are red, white %26amp; blue - so what do they do ..... wear black!

Now white as a protest for something petty.

It could only happen in New Zealand!
actually i do agree with you

change the flag, change the anthem, change the names

- all whites is a cheap version of all blacks

- the flag looks like australias to anyone not from NZ or Oz

- the anthem sounds like something from the britsh not kiwis its out dated and silly

- do we want to be known as a newer version of a dutch port like a new zealand?Should the NZ soccer team drop the whole 'All Whites' schtick?
No and especially not now, they are synonymous with the name, whats the point in going through the change now when they have been known by that name for 30 years? It's also a good way to distinguish between All Blacks and All Whites, gives them an element of uniqueness. While I agree the black kit looks better, I still think they should stay as All Whites
No. Why should they. It doesn't matter what colours they wear. They are never likely to beat an international team, of any note.

I think the all white/all black issue is to do with racism, anyway.Should the NZ soccer team drop the whole 'All Whites' schtick?
Oh man what are you on about now? What inferiority complex? Who cares! They're All Whites and everything is fine the way it is. White is a better colour in my opinion.
Ptooey. They've been the All Whites for about a zillion years. They're (apparently) happy with the name and well recognised as such. I don't think they should change a thing.
to be quite honest, I couldn't give a rats about sports shows.
