Should high score footie games end early?

It can be pretty upsetting when you lose at football - especially if you lose by a lot of goals.

Some officials want the Football Association to introduce a new rule which would mean a game would end early if one team has a nine goal lead.

It's being called the 'Mercy Rule' and it's already used in the USA. Now some junior football associations want it introduced here.

What to you think? Should games be stopped if looks like one team is scoring too many goals?

Or should both teams be allowed to keep on playing to the end - even if it means a big defeat for the losers?Should high score footie games end early?
it would rin the game if they brought this rule into it
Well, goal difference is increasingly important in today's game with so many teams being closely matched, so that would be a preventative measure on goal difference, so i don't think it should be put in place.Should high score footie games end early?
I've seen it used in an International game before. I think teams can also throw in the towel, forfeit the game, but the repercussions imminent from doing that most managers would rather take the crushing loss.
Er... i don't remember any real games having a 9 goal lead! And if they do wow.. good for them why should that stop the game???? Let them continue getting goals or let the other team try to score.. Def. dont stop the game thats ridicolous.Should high score footie games end early?
No they shouldn't end games early. When i spend my hard earned cash on a football ticket i expect to see the whole 90 minutes, end of.
No if the team is so bad they deserve to hammered and humiliated

anyone remember Man Utd 9 Ipswich 0
That is the silliest thing i have ever heard..
till the end i'd say
