Can you name me those countries where soccer is not really popular?

a lot of people say soccer (football/futbol/sakka/association football) is the most popular sport worldwide. i feel like the philippines is the only country who doesn't really like soccer. yes soccer facilities are improving here but a lot of filipinos are still indifferent about it, only open-minded ones are willing to make soccer popular here. and i am not one of them. i honestly find soccer boring with all those running and defending....too slow-paced (no offense for soccer fans worldwide this is just a personal opinion). i am used to faster-paced ones like basketball...and i like the game. hey no bias here okay?

but it is kind of disappointing when the philippines is the only country in the world where soccer is not popular. are we alone?

Can you name me those countries where soccer is not really popular?
It's not very popular in the US. I always tell my husband...the US is where great soccer players go to end their careers (aka Beckham).
Wow, many counties, i mean many many countries, but definately in the Americas, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Panama, Belize US among others ... all these countries still, have soccer and people play etc .. , .. is just not was popular as in other Latin american countries as well Europe/Asia

This world has so many countries is hard to be specific unless you ask directly about some countries ....

OScarCan you name me those countries where soccer is not really popular?
i doubt there would be many countries apart from antartica and a few countries like Nepal that don't play soccer it is actually a statistic that soccer is the most played game in the world i am pretty sure basketball is next followed by netball could be wrong but i doubt it all you have to do is look at when the world cup is on to see what it means
Austarlia, Canada, Russia, Norway, New Zealand, India, Iraq, Iran. Hope it Helped! :-)Can you name me those countries where soccer is not really popular?

India - they lost interest after being kicked out of the 1958 W/Cup Finals when they insisted on playing in bare feet (they also qualified for the 1956 Olympic tournament, and it was the No2 sport behind Hockey)

Afghanistan, they play a bit of cricket but mainly that game where they ride horses %26amp; hit each other with sticks

Maybe Pakistan?

Thats about it

Even in the USA its the No1 PLAYED sport (far higher than the mainstream TV sports)
America, But, a lot of people do play, just don't play that to be the one and only sport to play, so no ones tries( but a few) to go professionally.

uh, some places in the Caribbean.

everywhere else is basically in love with football.
Azeribaidjan
most people around the world love football not soccer.
Well let's put it this way. There are 208 member nations that belong to FIFA.

There are only 192 countries that belong to the United Nations.

Football (soccer) truly is the world sport.
