Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Marlon King should be allowed to return to football after serving his 18-month prison sentence for sexual assault and causing actual bodily harm

Gordon Taylor from the Professional Footballers' Association says the union will support King when he is released.
If people find this offensive, could one answer be the formation of a separate league, for footballers like King, and managers like Wenger? It could be run in parallel to the normal league, just the same as the Scottish League is separate. There would then be three championships, and the nonces league could have its own dedicated TV coverage on cable, the same as the Scots do.|||Wenger also said he wouldn't himself take a player like King in the interview, and there was no 'should' about it, he said a club is likely to pick him up, and thats a fact.
PFA have already said they wont support king during the appeal because the incident has nothing to do with his football so their support is irrelevant.
He's probably going to get out very soon seen as 18 months is a pretty long sentence considering so many abh offenders get off with a fine here and Wenger was just saying that he is likely to play again. ie joey barton|||I don't think there should be a separate league. Although I don't agree with Wenger about King going back to his football career. I still respect wenger for giving him some motivation.|||Of course Wenger will stick up for nonce"s!
